It is amazing how many beautiful hikes exist within an hour of Greenwich CT. The Hook Mountain Hike (Nyack, NY) has two versions (short and long), some people used poles, start early - even though you are in the shade most of the time...when you are not, holy melt down, bring your own water and lots of it and snacks. Hike with a friend...
